Design With a Twist

A truly beautiful bathroom, kitchen, shower room, cloak room, or bedroom starts with the design. We have been designing bathrooms, kitchens, shower rooms, cloakrooms, and bedrooms since 1985 and additionally (and crucially) we have also been installing them. This vast installation experience guarantees that everything we design can definitely be installed. In other words if we say we can do it – we can do it.

We encourage the use of bespoke made to measure materials such as glass, wood, quartz, silestone, and granite, but we can advise on anything that takes your fancy.

Lighting is very important, and we quite often use LED lighting in the floor, ceiling, and walls. Not only does this compliment the design, but it is also very energy efficient.

Installation with attention to detail

A great design has to be complemented with a first class installation service and that is exactly what you will receive. First class joinery, plumbing, and electrical work combined with the absolute highest quality tiling.

Final detailed layouts for your bathroom, shower room, or cloakroom are set out from the tiling to ensure that, wherever possible, shower valves, taps, flushplates, radiators, etc. are centred on tile joints or tile centres, and that wall and floor tile joints are continuous (3D), wherever possible. Once you see and appreciate a project tiled in this way you will wonder how others can be happy with anything less.

The Design Process

The normal process will start with an informal home visit, usually in the evening, to take a look at the proposed project including measuring up and taking note of the existing drainage and services layout. We can then sit down and discuss your requirements, ideas and wish-list (preferably accompanied with a nice cup of tea :) ).

I will quite often produce a hand drawn scale plan and perspectives to help show an idea or two of how things might look, based on our discussions and any additional ideas and solutions I come up with that may be of interest.

An important and early part of the process is to discuss your budget as this will ultimately have a bearing on what can be proposed and achieved.

After this we can arrange a second (or third) meeting to go over the project proposal which will come complete with a fully itemised quotation (not an estimate).

After You Place The Order

If you decide to proceed with the project I will give you a rough idea of when we will be starting, based on our current workload and any extended delivery schedules (some of the products we use come direct from Italy and Germany or may be made to order). We will then keep you informed as your start date draws near.

During the job we make sure that clean dust-sheets are always laid down, we clear up every night and all debris and rubbish is taken away as soon as possible.

Payment Terms

Our payment terms are very customer friendly and can be tailored to suit your needs or the individual project but normally they are based on a 5% deposit, 45% on the day we start and the remaining 50% upon completion.
